Michael attained a BA in psychology, with honors, from Gonzaga University and was subsequently awarded a teaching fellowship to Eastern Washington University where he obtained his MS degree in Clinical Psychology, specializing in the study of Stress and Pain Management. Michael interned at, Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, working in the Pain Clinic treating those suffering from chronic pain. He was also a counselor at Spokane's Anna Ogden Mental Health Center. His teaching style has been developed through experience at Spokane Community College, Portland State University, Portland Community College and Marylhurst University where he most recently taught an advanced course in marketing.

Michael utilized his expertise to build highly successful sales and service teams at Pacific Northwest Bell and U S WEST while conducting training sessions both within and outside the companies. In 1998, Michael started his own training and consulting business, MBR Training and Consulting.


Headshot: WaltWalt Duddington's nearly 30 years of business experience encompasses a variety of assignments, primarily with Pacific Northwest Bell, U S WEST, XO Communications and Integra Telecom. His roles have included marketing, sales, sales management, and customer service. In addition, he served for 10 years as an adjunct instructor at Marylhurst University, teaching courses in sales, information technology, and customer service. Walt earned a BS in Business Management and a Certificate in Telecommunications System Management from Marylhurst University. Later, he returned to Marylhurst for his MBA, with a specialization in Finance. He also completed his graduate Certificate in Non-Profit Management at Portland State University.

Walt holds the designation of Associate Business Continuity Planner from the Disaster Recovery Institute and has incorporated continuity planning into his work with his telecommunications clients.

Walt has worked with large clients such as Hewlett Packard, US Bank, and Pacificorp, as well as hundreds of smaller Oregon businesses. Approaching business issues and opportunities with systematic, analytical, and repeatable processes, Walt leverages his education and experience to assist his clients in growing to greater levels of success.


Headshot: RobertRobert Bitter has spent his 30+ years of business experience in telecommunications, consulting, training and development with organizations such as U S WEST Communications, Executive Forum, and Fisher Business Management. Since 2012 he has been a project coordinator and instructor for Clackamas Community College, specializing in the areas of leadership and Lean/continuous improvement. He began his career as a Deputy with the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office.

Robert earned his B.S. degree in Letters, Arts & Sciences from the University of Southern California and his M.S. degree in Criminal Justice and Education from the University of Portland. He has received extensive training in sales, sales management and customer service. He is a certified leadership facilitator with Development Dimensions International (DDI) and as a Lean trainer by Clackamas Community College.

In addition to helping clients grow in their personal development, he also is committed to community service. He served as a City Councilor for the City of Canby, and has volunteered with several organizations, including the Children's Center. He is currently Vice President of the Board for the Portland Chamber Orchestra.


Headshot: BarttBartt Brick has over 32 years experience in banking with U. S. Bank, VISA and MasterCard. He recently retired from U S Bank and has consulted for several firms over the last three years.

Bartt, an Oregon State University graduate with a Business/Economics degree and a minor in Computer Science, pioneered the conversion from manual to electronic banking during the late 80s and 90s while managing a large work force of over 100 people. His employees included customer service, operations sales, credit and systems people who delivered credit card processing capabilities to 25,000 businesses across the country. During this time he moved the business from 20% electronic to over 90% electronic.

Bartt has extensive experience in Customer Service, Project Management, Product Management, Operations, Information Systems and Leadership. In his own words, "As business manager the most interesting and fulfilling part of that job was to integrate the work of vastly different skill sets and mind sets into a smoothly functioning whole that delivered quality products and services to customers with high expectations. Integrating systems experts with customer service staff and helping credit analysts work with sales staff was a constant challenge and a never ending source of amazement and gratification."


Headshot: LouLou Schmerber has over 20 years of experience in both senior and mid level operations management positions in the high technology industry. He has led several Operations and Manufacturing organizations, large and small, which employed a variety of complex processes.
